Rebel Wilson has undergone an incredible transformation over the last couple of years.

The actress, who turned 41-years-old on Tuesday, has lost an incredible 66lbs (4 stone 7lbs) after completely overhauling her lifestyle, and now looks completely different to how she did at the start of her career.

In those days, her weight became part of her fame, and was even mocked as part of some of her film roles.

Her post famous character, Amy in the Pitch Perfect series, even called herself 'Fat Amy'.

When Amy introduced herself in the first film, another character asked why she called herself that.

"So twig b*****s like you don't do it behind my back," she said.

But Rebel had clearly wanted to lose weight and back in 2011 she became the face of weight loss company Jenny Craig in her native Australia.

She lost 22lbs (1 stone 6lbs) on the programme, but she claimed Pitch Perfect producers didn't want her to lose any more weight and her contract said she had to stay the same size.

In 2022 she lost 8lbs in just a few days when she started learning the dance routines for Cats.

Rebel said at the time that she felt like she had to lose weight in order to progress her career.

She told The Mirror: "I literally feel as if I have to physically transform because it's very difficult for people to imagine [me in serious roles] for some reason – even though we're in a very imaginative industry.

"I feel that I physically have to show you that I am different and I am transformed in order to help transform my career."

Then in 2020, Rebel vowed she was going to have a "year of health".

"Okay so for me 2022 is going to be called 'The Year of Health,'" Rebel said on Instagram.

"So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I've just had but I'm going to do it!"

She shared that her goal weight was 165lbs (11 stone 8lbs) and she began documenting her new health kick on social media.

Rebel had said that before she changed her diet she was an "emotional eater".

Speaking about changing how she eats, Rebel told People : "Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry.

"So, I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast."

Rebel followed the Mayr Method which focuses on the gut and how the foods you eat affect your digestive system.

She visited the Mayr centre in Austria where residents spend £1,4000 for two weeks of having their diet and routine scrutinised by experts.

Dieters learn to chew their food properly and eat more slowly.

Those on the plan also have their biggest meal at breakfast time and their smallest meal for dinner.

But Rebel still indulges from time to time, telling her followers to "treat" themselves with the odd dessert.

She's said that she does still get takeaways, but now eats half of as much food as she did when she got them before.

Rebel used a personal trainer to get fit and did high intensity interval training (HIIT).

She also went on regular hikes and took up jogging.

Rebel has wowed her fans by posting pictures of herself in form-fitting clothing to show off her weight loss.

In November 2022 she revealed her year of health had paid off and she had reached her goal weight ahead of schedule.

"Hit my goal with one month to spare!" she told her Instagram followers.

"Even though it's not about a weight number, it's about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg."

And Rebel says she's finally ditched the Fat Amy label for good.

"Just call me: Fit Amy," she told her fans.
